Ordering

How do I place an order?

Ah, good idea, you're thinking about ordering something...

Go on, add an item into the cart and proceed to checkout. Seriously though don't forget to pick the size and colors for each item. You can also leave us a note during checkout. You can also add stuff to your wishlist, and complete an order later (it will remember the content of your cart).

Which payment options do you support?

We accept several payment options (in no particular order):

  • major credit cards - Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover Card
  • PayPal (required login on Paypal site. It will take you back upon completion)
  • Google Checkout - similar to above
  • Gift Certificates - great if you can't figure out what you significant other wants. Purchase them on our site, the minimum is $10
  • Money Orders - US Banks only. Please note, we don't accept personal checks. Post Office does it for about a buck. Of course processing orders takes longer as we have to wait until we receive the Money Order. If you must use it, please mail it to:

What size do I need?

We use the circumference of a wrist, ankle or neck as a size. We add some length depending on the size and the form of the closure. Ideally you should measure your wrist, ankle or neck using a measuring tape, allow for the tightness (add 0.5-1") and pick the size. Other ideas for measurements:

  • other bracelet/necklace
  • wristwatch band length
  • use any string and ruler
  • Tell us how big the subject is. :) We can guesstimate the size you need. Works great for surprise gifts.
  • request a default. We use 7.5" for bracelets, 10" for anklets and 17" for necklaces

What is the stuff made of?

We use high quality 100% hemp yarn to hand weave stuff at home (no smoking, no pets, just kids). First 31 colors (Natural plus 30 colors) produced in Romania using natural dyes and most of it is actually organic. If you really care about this, ask us.

Second batch of colors (51-73) produced in China and using reactive dyes.

We also use natural bone beads, pewter pendants, glass and resin beads and pendants.

Can you cut me a deal?

Following discounts are automatically calculated (shipping is not factored in):

If you spend from $50 to $99.99 you get 10%

If you spend from $100 to $199.99 you get 15%

If you spend over $200 you'll get 20%

Can I place an order over the phone?

Unfortunately no. We find it's a lot more practical to communicate over e-mail. Plus, we just don't have the time.

What are those points?

Each of the dollar you spend on any of the products gives you 1 point. This is our way to say a little thank you! You can accumulate points over several orders, month and years. They never expire. Or you can redeem them on your very next order. 10 points are worth $1. For the system to keep track of the number of points earned/spent you have to register.

During checkout if you intend to use your points, select "Pay with Points" first, apply number of points to the order, then pay using regular payment method for the remaining balance.

 

Shipping

What shipping methods do you use?

We are big fans of US Postal Service. Works great and very cheap (passing savings to our customers). Currently we use:

  • USPS First Class. Takes 2-7 days depending on your proximity to Connecticut
  • USPS Priority. It takes 2-5 days.
  • USPS International. Anywhere from 5-15 days. Sorry guys.
  • USPS Express. 1-2 days.

The approximate times include the time it takes to make the items. Over time we might introduce other methods, so let us know what options you would like to see.

How much is the shipping?

We hate to see carts abandoned because of high shipping rates. Therefore our rates are:

  • $3.99 for USPS First Class (worldwide)
  • $6.99 for USPS Priority (US only)
  • $19.99 for Express (US only)

How soon do you ship?

Since we have to produce each and every item ourselves, it does take some time. We try very hard to ship in one or two days. In periods of high activity (before holidays) please place your orders early to help us spread out the load.

Returns and Exchanges

Do you accept Returns?

Yes, items can be returned within 1 month without any questions asked. Although we don't return shipping charges.

I messed up the size, can I exchange it?

Of course, just send it back to the address on an invoice. Please include an invoice or at least an order number and a note so we know what to do with it. And we'll make a new item and send it free of charge. No need to pay for shipping again.

I don't like it, can I send it back?

Sure, it happens sometimes and we are fine with it. Just send it back for a refund. Please note that we don't return shipping charges.
